1. What are the benefits of doing an MBA Full Time vs Part Time?
For me, the biggest benefit of doing it full-time was the interactions and time spent after class with my other colleagues. Part-timers usually had to leave after classes, while we found ourselves often studying together in the library, sharing our views on the class topics, as well as seeking help when needed. Also, full-timers are offered the possibility to engage in coaching lessons, which is definitely an added value to the normal MBA classes.
2. How did your approach to the business world change during or after your MBA?
From a hard-skills point of view, before starting an MBA you are already specialized in something, from your university career and your past jobs. After the MBA, you have a wide knowledge of multiple subjects, and this facilitates a lot of your understanding and communication with people coming from different departments and experiences (both internally in the company, and with clients or prospects).
From a soft-skills point of view, CIMBA gives you all the tools you need to properly approach the person you are interacting with. This is an enormous plus, especially in my current sales position.
Lastly, the coaching lessons give you a different perspective on what purpose you want to give to your career life.
3. What do you feel was the most valuable lesson you took from it?
The fact that through class interactions with the professors and my colleagues, and through the various group assignments, I realize that you cannot afford to stop learning. That everyone, with his/her different experiences, can add something to the table. The CIMBA MBA courses are designed to bring up discussion and interaction between students, to stimulate this learning by sharing.
4. How has studying in an international environment broadened your mindset?
It is one of the biggest added values of CIMBA. Studying, doing projects together, and becoming friends with people from all over the world puts you in touch with different cultures, and different ways to see and approach things. It prepares you for when you have to interact with different cultures and mindsets in real life.
5. What is your most cherished memory from your time at CIMBA?
The LIFE Leadership Training was an unforgettable experience. It forged our group, and it made me change my approach to the challenges that I have to face. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to take part in it, and that I could share this experience with my colleagues.
